The collaborative project to "Save Old 21" originated through a Save Our History grant from the History Channel. This grant to conduct research and display the findings regarding Old 21  was one of 29 successful awardees, out of more than 700 applicants.  Save Our History ™ is The History Channel's national initiative that promotes history education and historic preservation. This initiative encourages students to get involved both locally and nationally with the preservation of historically significant sites and/or artifacts.
