Firehouses
used log books to record the events that passed through out
the day. Events such as, package deliveries, minor incidents,
maintenance issues, and actual fires (recorded in red ink)
were entered into the logs. The front and back cover, inside
pages, and few of the actual dates were photographed.
You can view the logs by clicking
on the dates below or by downloading the files to view them
on your own computer. The entry's are more legible on the
larger images.
Read an actual account of a fire that
the firefighters of Old 21 responded to after the big quake
of 1906.
